New! Registration for Events

Why online registration?

The Sudbury Senior Center is moving to a new “online” registration process using Eventbrite. Eventbrite provides us additional functionality to:

  • better track registrants and contact information
  • provide a safe and secure way to collect registration fees and payments
  • better manage our calendar (easier to update to ensure you have the latest information)
  • provide you with additional event information, reminders, etc. and we have a way to contact you for any last minute changes (e.g., weather cancellations)

How does it work?

When you register for an event, a link on our site will take you to the Eventbrite registration page. The Eventbrite site is a different website from this site. The Eventbrite site should provide all the information you need for the event (location, day, time, map, etc.). Complete the information to register for the event. You will receive a “confirmation email” and if your event has a ticket for admission, you will receive the ticket via email.

If there is a registration or ticket fee for your event, you will need to pay the fee when you register. Credit cards are accepted. Eventbrite provides a safe and secure form for you to enter your credit card and personal information.

What if I need help?

If you require assistance registering for an event, you may stop by the Senior Center and someone will walk you through the online process. This must be done in person (not over the phone) as we are not able to take credit card information over the phone.

We will also be having “Registration Orientation” sessions to help everyone get acquainted with the new process.

Make it easy – Create an Account with Eventbrite

We strongly recommend that you “create” an account with Eventbrite. If you create an account and complete all the information in the account profile, this information will automatically be entered for you when you sign up for any of the Sudbury Senior Center events. This is a great way to save time and make the registration process even easier.

If you have used Eventbrite before with another organization, you may have an account already. Try using your email address to login. Yes, you can use an existing account to register for any Sudbury Senior Center events on Eventbrite.

Why does the registration process ask so many questions?

We are required to track demographical information for all those who participate in Senior Center activities. Capturing the information on the registration form simplifies our reporting process. Hint: If you create an Eventbrite account and complete your profile, most of this information will automatically be added for you, each time you register for an event.

Note, we do not report on individuals, only on general demographics (home town, age group, sex, etc.)

Is my information secure?

Yes, your information is stored securely with Eventbrite. Any information you provide us through Eventbrite is solely for the purpose of managing our events and our internal reporting. Your information is never shared or sold to anyone.

Do I need an email address?

Yes, to register for an event you will need an email address. The email address is used to create your account on Eventbrite. It is also used to send a confirmation of your event registration to you.

If you don’t yet have an email address, there are many free and safe options. Including:
