Shibori is a traditional Japanese fabric dyeing technique that creates beautiful patterns using folding and simple resist methods. In this class, we’ll explore Itajime Shibori, also known as “board clamping.” Fabric is folded, placed between shapes, and held together with clamps or rubber bands before being dyed in rich indigo. Participants will create unique flour sack dish towels to take home. No experience needed, just come ready to have fun and enjoy the creative process! All supplies will be provided. Each session is 1.5hrs in length and has a 10 participant limit. Registration is required. Please specify which session you are interested in registering for- Morning or afternoon.
Sudbury residents may register starting on Monday, March 2nd and non-residents may register starting on Tuesday, March 3rd.
