Beware of a “Spoofed” Phone Call!

A “spoofed” call appears as if it is coming from a known source such as the Town, but is actually someone trying to get your personal information for fraudulent uses.   You can trust a call that you initiated to the Town, or if they are returning your call, but be suspicious if they had no reason to call and begin to ask for your personal information, such as name, address, Social Security number, etc.  Unfortunately, there have been some “spoofed” calls coming in to Town residents.

If you have unfortunately given information to someone on one of these types of calls and lost money, please contact the Sudbury Police at the business line 978-443-1042.
